7th Military March Czech Republic

6th of May 2017 The 7th annual Military March CZ took place in Lednice-Valtice area. The event was held under auspices of the Governor of South Moravian region Bohumil Šimek and the Ministr of Defence MgA. Martin Stropnický. The march will take place again next year on the 5th of May 2018.

First and foremost, we would like to thank the participants that were following the guidelines for the march and showed respect to the nature in the beautiful UNESCO area. We, of course, thank EVERYONE for participation! The march offered several routes: 9, 15, 20, 25, 31 and 35 km and as a bonus, we enjoyed beautiful weather this year. We welcomed participants not only from the Czech Republic, but also from Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain and USA .

On behalf of the participants, the organizing committee donated financial support to the following:
- CZ Foundation of police officers and firefighters – 8.500 CZK (approx. 320 EUR)
- CZ Military Solidarity Fund – 8.500 CZK (approx. 320 EUR)
- Help for Kosa – 3.000 CZK (approx. 110 EUR)

After passing the finish line, the participants picked up the well-deserved decrees or diplomas and medals. The representatives of the three biggest groups were awarded with trophies. The fist place was taken by „VŠMT“ (54), second place was taken by „Pěšáci JH“ (22) and third place was taken by „Policejní pochodová jednotka Prostějov“ (16).

Interesting facts:
The youngest participant was Bořek, born in February 2017. The oldes participant was Mr. Rudolf, born in May 1944.

Did you know?
- the spray color used for marking the routes is ecological, washable and meets all the health standard requirements,
- we have sent, received, responded and managed over 2000 emails,
- during the march, 8 route commissionars were constantly present among the participants.
