6th Military March Czech Republic

The 6th annual Military March took place on 7th of May 2016 in the Lednice-Valtice area, that provided the most beautiful scenery in the history of the march. The event was held under auspices of Michal HAŠEK – governor of Southmoravia Region. The date for next year’s march has been set for 6th of May 2017.

Please have a look at the video from Marcela Alexa shot on the 25km route.

The routes were 12 (family route), 20, 25, 30, 33 and 40 km. All the routes had minimal cant and the weather was excellent this year.

The amount of participants among the Czech Army and Czech Police has evened out. We also enjoyed seeing participants from the Fire rescue service, Czech Customs, The Prison Service of the Czech Reublic and many civilians. We also welcomed participants from abroad – Austria, Estonia, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain and Ukrain.

We would like to express thanks to all participants for following the guidelines and rules of the march and therefore preventing any damage and polution of the beautiful nature environment that is included in the NATURA 2000 program and UNESCO. We would also like to thank all the people and authorities that supported the march and provided all necessary approvals.

The participants could pick up their medals in the finish as usual, together with the diploma or only commerotative diploma. The leaders of 3 biggest groups obtained trophies in the “LARGEST GROUP” category. The winning team was „Adéla“ with 41 members, second place was taken by the group „Policejní pochodová skupina Prostějov“ with 39 members and the group „VŠMT“ ended up third with 35 members.
